MAKE UP FOR EVER . ULTRA HD INVISIBLE COVER FOUNDATION
As technology in digital devices continues to advance so must make up. The latest advancement relevant to the beauty industry is 4K technology. With 4K technology, the next generation of digital devices, including the newly released iPhone 6s, will display images with unbelievable detail, stunning clarity, and heightened colour. And while I'm rejoicing over what this improvement means for my Instagram feed, I'm also aware of the minute details/flaws in my make up that will now become apparent to all those who follow me. Sigh. But thanks to concurrent advancements in foundation formulations by MAKE UP FOR EVER this fear may never have to be realized.
Welcome the Ultra HD Foundation by MAKE UP FOR EVER; the first, and only foundation designed for the demands of 4K technology. Available in two distinct formulas, the Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($50), and Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick ($50), this revolutionary foundation remains completely invisible under the latest, ultra-magnified resolution. The results? Foundation looks more invisible, feels more comfortable, and appears more natural on advanced 4K cameras and to the naked eye.
The Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($50) is available in 40 shades, while the Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick ($50) is only available in 15. Each deliver a flawless complexion, however vary in the coverage they provide – the liquid foundation provides medium coverage, while the stick foundation allows for full coverage. I like to use the Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation as my day-to-day foundation, and keep the Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick for on-the-go touch-ups, or days when I need more coverage. Given my current paleness I've been using the shade 117 (Y225) Marble, swatched below, which is similar in colour to my HG summer foundation, the Make Up For Ever Face & Body Foundation in Ivory 20. If you're wondering what shade is appropriate for your skin tone I recommend using Sephora's Colour IQ technology, which has always lead me to a perfect match.
HOW TO USE
• For sheer coverage, use a buffing brush, such as the Artistan Brush #122, and apply in a circular motion (recommended for oily skin types).
• To build coverage, use a flat foundation brush, such as the Artisan Brush #108, to tap and build coverage where needed, then stretching outward for a smoothing effect OR use a sponge to press and roll to build coverage (recommended for dry or textured skin types).
• For best results, prime skin with the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer best suited to the skin type before applying.
