OUTFIT PLAN . 001

Life as a girl is hard, isn't it? We have periods, boobs, an excess of emotions, and face a near-daily struggle to select an outfit. I say near-daily because let's face it, our days off are spent in sweats, and t-shirts left from lovers past. If that wasn't enough, we are expected to amp up that effort on days of importance; i.e. the A$AP Rocky concert I will be attending this Friday. Normally, I would leave this task until the morning of, however given my recent history of mental-breakdowns brought on by getting ready  I decided it would be in my best interest to plan ahead for this momentous occasion.

The line up features A$AP Rocky, Tyler The Creator, Danny Brown, and Vince Staples, so you can bet that I'll be pushing my way as close to the stage as humanly possible. And since it's an outdoor show, taking place at Echo Beach, I definitely need to keep my outfit casual, warm, and functional. I recently purchased this structured Frayed Cotton Top from ZARA ($35.90), which will pair perfectly with some distressed boyfriend jeans. I've yet to find a pair that I deem flattering for my body type, however I'll be frequenting Urban Outfitters & H&M this week in search for a proper pair – the BDG Slim-Fit Boyfriend Jeans ($79) have caught my eye so far. For footwear I'll be rocking my trusty Zara Tracker Boots, which unfortunately are no longer available, however these Track Boots by ACNE ($425) are very similar... and 10x the price I paid – a girl can dream, right? The rest of my accessories will be kept simple; a classic 90's chocker (although this Moon Pendant option is much cooler), a black leather backpack, and finally, the Nixon Kensington Watch in Gold ($175) to up my swag. To pull the whole look together I'll be donning my favourite red lipstick, the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso ($31)  – note the gold packaging. Swag.
