5 Things Every Blogger Should Own
One of my favourite things about blogging is the ability to create a space that is uniquely yours. It's a space where you can post what you want, when you want, how you want. With that said, sometimes it can feel impossible to create striking content without access to the best equipment/studio spaces. In the past, this drove into a creative funk, where I avoided content creation altogether. But now, I have discovered creative ways to improve my content and photography using items I've sourced at Dixie Outlet Mall. Whether I need a notebook for planning purposes or something tech-related, Dixie Outlet Mall is my one-stop shop for all things blog related on a budget.
So today, I'm sharing 5 things I've purchased at Dixie Outlet Mall that I believe every blogger should own.
5 THINGS EVERY BLOGGER SHOULD OWN
1. NOTEBOOK/PLANNER
In order to create meaningful content, you must have a plan in mind. No matter where I go, I always bring a notebook and/or planner with me to jot down my thoughts and/or draw out my ideas. The Winners at Dixie Outlet Mall is a great place to find notebooks and planners in a variety of designs, at an affordable price.
2. BACKUP PHONE CHARGER
It's also extremely important as a blogger and self-proclaimed social media addict, to be connected at all times. So I always bring my iPhone charger wherever I go to ensure my battery stays charged. But then again, an outlet isn't always available. After experiencing my phone die mid-event multiple times over the years, I grabbed a Belkin Charger from The Source Outlet. As long as I bring my backup charger along, my phone remains charged, so that I never miss out on a phone call, e-mail or photo-worthy moment!
3. POLAROID CAMERA + FILM
Then there's the struggle to maintain a unified aesthetic when the event or product you want to feature doesn't coincide with your branding. In the past, I would often avoid sharing these products/events, but with the addition of the FujiFilm Instax Mini 8 to my camera collection, I'm now able to share all items/events with ease. Plus, I love knowing that I can always find the polaroid film at a discounted price at The Source Outlet in Dixie Outlet Mall.
4. SELFIE STICK
Although I never thought I'd publically admit it, not only do I own a selfie stick, I highly recommend them! And while I personally hesitate to bring mine with me outside of my condo, there are a number of cases where my selfie stick has truly helped me execute a shot. Like many of the other tech items featured in this post, I grabbed this selfie stick during a sale at The Source Outlet in Dixie Outlet Mall. Having the extra extension and ability to easily click to capture the image, has allowed me to take images independently, that otherwise would require additional assistance.
5. PHOTO STYLING PROPS
I've always found that it's important to have props on hand that can be used to enhance and add interest to your photos. In my early days of blogging these items were things I had sourced from the thrift store, but now I turn to the items I've found at Dixie Outlet Mall or products I already own inside my wardrobe to stylize my photos. Whether it's the Suede Puma Platforms from The Puma Outlet or a new marble tray from Winners, these items help personalize your content and draw your reader in.
At the end of the day, blogging is an art. It involves creative writing, thinking, photo styling, editing and more! Although I can't say it's an artform that I've mastered just yet, as long as I have the 5 products mentioned above, I know I'll be just fine.
