THREE BLACK DRESSES EVERY 20-SOMETHING SHOULD OWN
If there's one thing to know about me it's that I love a 'little black dress'. No matter the season, I can be found wearing a LBD at least once a week. And while some might consider that monotonous, I've found a way to artfully play with different silhouettes and styles to ensure my look is never boring.
I recently had the opportunity to style three dresses from Tobi and figured it was the perfect opportunity to share the three little black dresses I think every 20-something should own, alongside my favourite ways to style them.
LBD 0.1 / THE BODYCON DRESS
If there's one dress that is an absolute must own from this list it's a black bodycon. I've honestly never met a dress as versatile, comfortable or flattering. Whether worn with sneakers and a velvet ball cap, a leather jacket and ankle boots, or heels and a wool jacket, a black bodycon dress is a total stunner and can suit a variety of body types.
LBD 0.2 / THE OVERSIZED KNIT
Without a doubt, the most appropriate little black dress for the current weather Toronto's experiencing is the oversized knit dress – preferably with a chunky turtleneck. I'm absolutely smitten with this Tobi option, primarily because the unexpected cut-out detail in the black shows off my tattoo quite nicely. But regardless where you purchase yours one thing is certain: it must be styled with over the knee boots.
LBD 0.3 / THE BLACK MINI DRESS
Last, but certainly not least is the black mini dress. From the classic Posh Spice LBD to the Tobi Keepin' It Together dress styled above, these dresses are summer staples. and become go-to's when you're stuck for an outfit idea for a hot date/night at the club. Lately, I've been tapping into my collection of black mini dresses to wear throughout fall/winter; styling them over top a long-sleeve bodysuit, and at times, even a lightweight sweater. The end result is totally chic – as long as you can brave the bare legs!
SHOP THE POST
There are so many amazing little black dresses available at Tobi currently they've dedicated an entire shop to them. Take a peek at their Little Black Dress Shop and let me know if you see one that you'd suggest above these styles!
