ADDICTED TO ALDO

If you snuck a peak at my most recent bank statement you'd come to believe that I live and breath Aldo – seriously, the number of purchases I've made within the past month alone is stupid. But can you blame me? They've been killing the shoe and accessory game as of late.

My newfound addiction all began after I recently slipped my feet into the Zaneca Shoe($115), a leather heeled mule that laces up the leg. Within seconds of stepping into them I knew they would be coming home with me – I mean, they're undeniably sexy, and surprisingly comfortable. For a while I struggled to find an appropriate event to christen them at, but as the weeks progressed and Drake's Summer Sixteen concert grew closer I knew that it would be the perfect moment. Since they've been christened I can't seem to find a moment NOT to wear them – they look great with jean shorts and dresses, and even pair nicely with cropped denim when the laces are simply wrapped around the ankle.

However, it's when paired with a simple slip dress, and structured bag that I feel the Zaneca Shoe really shines. The purse shown here is the Derogali Purse($50), another recent Aldo purchase. It's structured design is reminiscent of the Geo Love purse by Rebecca Minkoff, but thankfully it comes in well below half the price of the designer version. I love the way the purse and shoes compliment each other and bring about something of detail and structure to the otherwise simple slip.

Throw on some select minimal jewels, false lashes, and a brown lip, and you've got this look on lock.
